Special Event Venues

The Galveston Park Board offers designated beach wedding and special event venues at Stewart Beach Park, R.A. Apffel Beach Park, Seawolf Park and Dellanera RV Park with indoor/outdoor pavilion space or reserved beachfront areas.

Reserved beachfront areas will be groomed, roped off with decorative bollards and will offer an unobstructed view of the Gulf. 

If you need additional time to setup or teardown, additional hours can be purchased for $75 per hour for beachfront and $100 per hour for pavilion rentals.

NOTE: R.A. Apffel Beach Park and Stewart Beach Park are available for rent during the regular operating season March-September.  They are not available for rental when the operations and amenities are closed for the season October - February.

  • R.A. Apffel Beach Park Event Area

     - beachfront event space for beach weddings and small events. Rental rate is $250 for a 3-hour period and $75 per additional hour.
  • R.A. Apffel Beach Park Pavilion

    - brand-new, covered pavilion deck space with picnic tables. Capacity is approximately 150 people. Rental rate is $600 for 4 hours and $125 per additional hour.
  • Stewart Beach Park Event Area

    - beachfront event space for beach weddings and small events. Rental rate is $250 for a 3-hour period and $75 per additional hour.
  • Stewart Beach Park Pavilion

    - covered pavilion deck space with picnic tables. Capacity is approximately 75 people. Rental rate is $600 for 4 hours and $125 per additional hour.
  • Dellanera RV Park Event Area- beachfront event space for beach weddings and small events. Rental rate is $250 for a 3-hour period and $75 per additional hour. Events must be completed by 9 p.m.  On-site parking for event attendees is not available.  We recommend the event coordinator rent a Shuttle service for guests.
  • Seawolf Park - a secluded park provides a nicely landscaped grass event area and jetty event area with a rock backdrop overlooking the water on the bay side of the island.  It is a tranquil location for outdoor weddings and large events.  Rental rate is $250 for a 3-hour period and $75 per additional hour. 

Security


All rentals require review by Galveston Police Department for determination of needed security detail.  Any additional security that may be required will be secured by the Park Board and paid by the client.


Parking Passes


Clients can choose to cover parking for their event guests.  Payment in advance is required and rates vary by park location.
