Spending the day at a beach or a park in Galveston is bound to be entertaining. If you’re heading to family-friendly Stewart Beach, the more laid-back East Beach, Seawolf Park for fishing or learning about the historic ships there or even taking a trip to the west end’s Dellanera R.V. Park, there are plenty of activities to fill your day. Beginning in May, you’ll get the chance to enjoy some nighttime fun, too!

Movies on the Beach, sponsored by the Galveston Park Board of Trustees, makes its debut on May 14 and will run through the season with a variety of films ranging from action-packed to animated classics. The series kicks off with Deepwater Horizon at East Beach.

Movies are slated to begin at 8:30 p.m. Those parking at the beaches will pay the regular admission price -- $15 per car. Those parking at Seawolf Park will pay $6 for admission. There is no additional charge to watch the movie.
